Race for the Cure with CRAAB! CRAAB! will be sending a team to the 12th annual Race for the Cure in Albany, on Saturday, October 7. You can be part of this exciting event by joining our team! CRAAB! will be transporting team members from the parking lot of our office at 125 Wolf Road, departing 8:15, so parking isn't a problem!
The race, sponsored by the Northeast Affiliate of The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, raises funds for breast cancer programs and research, with 75% of the net proceeds staying in the Capital Region. CRAAB! has successfully competed for Komen grant awards year after year. Our current grant, "Timely Information and Practical Services," provides information about obtaining quality breast cancer care to seniors, risk reduction information for overweight individuals, professionally facilitated life coaching for breast cancer survivors and their caregivers, environmental programs, and information about breast cancer research and clinical trials through our newsletter.
